Hi
Look in www.lurganancestry.net and you'll find my grandfather, Henry McAtamney, in Shankill Place in the 1901 census. My uncles were Eugene(known as Gusty), John Henry, Francis, James and Arthur but all of them stayed in Ireland or England and all of their sons have kept in touch.

Our McAtamney grandmother's maiden name was Byrne and that side of the family carried a gene which caused webbing of the fingers and toes so if any of you suffer from this then there may be a recent connection.

There are a couple of other McAtamney Families in the County Armagh area that I know of but they are not related as far as I know. One is Oliver McAtamney,82 Church Street, Portadown and the other family lived in Derryadd, Lurgan.

I hope this is of some help.

Cheers

Myles

: : I am just beginning to trace my family tree and my information is very sparse so every piece of information is gladly appriciated.

: : My family name is McAtamney and I am hoping since my grandfather had a very unusual name (Felix Leo McAtamney) that this will give me a starting point.

: : Thanks in advance for any help
