about 1905 the name system changed where all had one name. Before that, in Sweden, Per Nilsson, son would be Persson and the daughter as Persdotter for a last name. It was different if Per Nilsson was given a service name like Hök and his children may have had the same last name as Per Nilsson Hök. I have a few that are like that. Hummel, Skott, in religion, Sonnberg. I have a Johanna Carlsdotter Sonnberg from dad Carl and a Christina Zackariasdotter Hök. Whatever is attached to the sson or sdotter is the father's first name. Norway & Denmark have +sen or +datter.
