I grew up not knowing very little about my family, my grandmother was Alice Mae Dingman, she married a Hector Murray. Hector died when their three sons (Hector Gilbert Murray, Basil Murray, and Lawrence Keith Guy Murray (my dad) were very young. She remarried to a very nice man John A. Hillman and she resided the rest of her life on a farm just outside Newbury, Ontario. Because my real grandfather died long before I was born, I never had the opportunity to get to know him. No one ever seem to talk of family, and when I asked for the sake of my children, no one seemed to know a whole lot. If anyone out there can tell me anything, I would deeply appreciate it. If it is any help my grandmothers, mothers name was Alice Mae Haines, her fathers name was Lawrence Dingman of Westminister Township. My grandfathers mothers name was Catherine McPhail, and his fathers name was William Murray, sorry I have no idea were they were from. Thanks again.
