John Palmer before 1850

I am trying to find information on John Palmer before the 1850 Census he was born 12/12/1814 Virgina died 9/10/1891
buired in Vermlion County Illinois East Lynn Cemetery
along with wife Racheal A Stedmen and one son Thomas A and one daughter Hanna, Also found Crnelius Palmer Born 1/12/1805 born Virgina and also buird in East Lynn Cemetry
not sure if this is a brother or a unclebut tracked both from Ohio Adams Couty Franklin Twsp. 1850 Census both coming to Illinois after that John going to Mclean County and Cornelius to Vermilion County IllinoisAny help finding there parent would be great Help at a dead end!!!!
