I am interested to know about Opa (Grandad) Brands of Rossum in the Netherlands; about his Opa (Grandad), also named Johan Adolph BRANDS. The family records that he was borne on 26 December 1917 in Buren, Netherlands, as the fifth child of : Jeanette (Jantje) van Uitert (Utrecht, Ut) of Zoelen, Netherlands. She was born in 1879, and married a Johan Adolph BLANKE CALKAAR on 24/8/1800.Then married a Jan Brands in 1801 unknown date, had 4 children 1802 to 1811 in Zoelen, suddenly moved to Buren, and had Johan...did 1st husband perhaps return from war, after being reported dead? The records show this fifth child (according to the first 4 children) does not exist. The Town's records state Jan Brands as the father, but in 1818, and give an incorrect age of 42 to Jannichje.What actually happened? true Birth date? Henriette Metsers
