My gg grandfather, Joseph Monaghan, born 1807, in Ireland, was a Famine Immigrant, coming to NYC IN 1847.
The Monaghan family lived and died in NYC.
Joseph Monaghan, born 1807 in Ireland.
Wife Margaret, maiden name unknown.
Children:Letitia, born 1833 in Ireland
died 1866 in NYC
Bridget, born 1836 in Ireland
died 1881 in NYC
Joseph, born 1840 in Ireland
Margaret,born 1841 in Ireland
The father, Joseph's wife, Margaret only lived two years after coming to this country. She died 1849 at Wm Street Hospital. Cause of death Cholera.
I am trying to find out where in Ireland they are from.
I hope some one can help me. Can anyone help me pin point where Wm Street Hospital was?
