John "Jock" Aitkins, Edinburgh, came out to India in the late 1700's/early 1800's, in the Indian Medical Service - Surgeon, Apothecary; died & buried, Bellary, Karnataka, India. Son Fredrick Vincent Stark Aitkins, Apothecary, Indian Medical Service;born,Trichinopoly (?), Tamil Nadu India, died & buried, Madras (Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India. Son, (1st)Stark Kenneth Aitkins, Post & Telegraph, Retd. Post Master General Nagpur, (Central Provinces) Madhya Pradesh, was on the 1st Younghusband Expedition to Lhasa, also, was on Younghusband Expeditions to the Shan States in Burma, and, through Central Asia, to the Karakoram Mountain Range and Pass to Tashkent, Samarkhand, etc., latter 1800's/early 1900's, was awarded a medal from King George V, with the Potala & Kings's Head, with "Gyantse" enscribed across pin; died 1946 & buried in Bangalore. (2nd) son, Parry Aitkins, went to Australia, as a young man. Do not have any contact with him, or his family. David Aitkins, decended from Parry Aitkins, made contact with me from Australia,2001. S.K. Aitkins had 3 sons, (1st) Kenneth Poole Aitkins, b.July 8th, 1908, Naina Tal, U.P., India; died & buried Bangalore, India. (2nd) twins - Mervin Poole Aitkins (died Bangalore, India) & Wilmer Poole Aitkins (died London, U.K.), b. January 10th, 1911, Jhansi, India. K.P. Aitkins had only 1 child, a daughter, Maureen Hyacinth Poole Aitkins (married Haskell David), b. August 6th, 1939, Calcutta, India. M.H.P. David (nee Aitkins), has 2 sons. (1st) Jonathan Eddie Kenneth David, b.May 22nd,1969, Calcutta, India; married Sandra Marguerita Ocampos, in U.S.A. (2nd) Daniel-Marc David, b. November 21st, 1972, Bangalore, India. W.P. Aitkins, had 4 daughters, all born in India, and a son born in U.K.; Rosemary b.1940 Madras, June, Valeria, Gloria & Peter. M.P. Aitkins had 1 son & 3 daughters. Brenda, Kenneth Andrew, Mable & Nancy, they have emmigrated to Sydney, Australia, all have married.
