Benjamin Franklin Berry born 3-7-1866
Hargraves Mill Putnam County, Missouri
I have not been able to verify or obtain any birth information as now there is no Hargraves mill. I don't know where to start looking.
Benjamin married a Mary Susan Wood 1-1893 in Nevada, Vernon County, Mo. They had 7 daughters:
Sarah Ellen Berry b. Oct 1893 Nevada, Missouri d. July 1966
Maudie May Berry b. nov 1895, Nevada, Mo. d. 1969
Ethel Ann Berry b. Feb 1898, Nevada Mo. d. Mar 1976
Mary Susan Berry b. Apr. 1900
Ida Levona Berry b. 24 Aug. 1902 Gas City, Kansas
Ina her twin
gladys Beatrice Berry they called Jeanette b. 1905 Gas City, Kansas
I can't find Benjamin in the 1870 census, but may have found him in the 1880 census in Carol, Carroll, Missouri:
H. James Berry self 41
Anetta Berry wife 39
Franklin Berry son 14
John Berry son
Thomas Berry son
E. Claudy Berry son
Franklin is the right age, 14, and the mother, we found this family in the 1900 census in Vernon County, and the mother is the right age compared with the 1900 census, would have been born in 1841. Even though she is listed as Sarah and a widow in the 1900 census, she may have had either 2 names or a nickname. the family called Gladys Beatrice Berry jeanette, so they could have nicked her after Benjamins mother.
Benjamin is listed as Franklin in the 1880, Frank in the 1900, and Benjamin F. Berry in the 1920 census in Iola Kansas.
Any help very much appreciated!
