Hi! My mother's maiden name is Thornburg, and I am from Farmland Indiana. My grandfather's name is Ruby Carroll Thornburg. She had an aunt Flossie, (nickname for Flora?)if that is familiar. She did a good deal of genealogical stuff, now housed in a museum in Winchester Indiana (county seat) Kennedy Museum, perhaps? Sorry this is not too specific. Let me know if I can be of help.
