I've just discovered this site via Google. My wife's grandmother was a Woolgrove which started a search some 5 or 6 years ago and we have traced all the early Woolgroves, with 2 isolated exceptions to the original Woolgrove family in the Oxford area (where they arrived from we do not know - though the name may have been changed in the new area from say Walgrave - this is just idle speculation). We have traced a large percentage of the Oxfordshire Woolgroves from the original ancestors of around 1600 in the Deddington area of Oxfordshire (as already mentioned by a correspondent) and have started to build a Woolgrove family tree. Would only be too happy if we could exchange information.
