My Grandmother was Margaret SWAINSON b. 16/6/1893 dau of William Newton SWAINSON & Jane PORTER.
William's parents were Robert SWAINSON & Mary NEWTON.
Jane's parents were Joseph Porter, of Eskdale Green - Shoemaker & Sarah , dau of Jonathan Rodger of Dalegarth Hall.
William Newton SWAINSON & Jane PORTER were married 11 Sept 1880 at Eskdale Cumberland.
Margaret SWAINSON married William James SEWART (a soldier in the AIF, hospitalised in England & born Liverpool UK 1887) at the Parish Church of Ireleth with Askam 28/3/1917. Mgt. was living at 9 Dalton rd. Ireleth (Wm @ 41) - To Oz before 1920.
