Searching for any information about my g-grandfather James Norman MASON, rumored to be from Virginia, family coming to AL after the Civil War. Also rumored to be descended from the Gunston Hall MASONs; however, this has not been proven yet. He and Zulia ALLEN had my grandfather in Birmingham, AL, on 12/14/1893. Would like any info that anyone out there may have about James's parentage or exactly where he was from. Thanks.
