My maternal grandfather was called Effingham Howe.
He was Jewish and lived in the Coventry area as far as I am aware he was a succesful business man owning land and garages in the Coventrey area. He was also a
mason. He had an adopted daughter by the name of
Marjorie Sheve Howe, she got married to my father
Edgar Percival Squires in Coventry. This marriage
caused a hugh family upset and my mothers family effectively disowned her. I have very little knowledge of the Howe family but I do know that there
were other children in the family unit whose descendents I would very much like to try and trace.
