Anyway, Robert Davis of Allen Mountain Farm is my ancestor. I descend through his son James M. Davis, who m. Sarah Harrison, dau of George & Ann (Duff) Harrison. Other fellow searchers and I have never had any luck discovering Robert's parents, his origins, or his wife's surname. One of our group even hired a genealogist but was unsuccessful.
In desperation today I just put Robert's name and Allen Mt. Farm on Copernic 2002, and your post came up--twice. Would you contact me and let me know if you can help out. I'd be happy to exchange Davis Descendants Lists with you.
