My grandfather was the son of Pete Straub and Eva Groves. They had 4 children James, Mary Lou, Pauline, and William. James was born in Pendleton co. Kentucky and i`m assuming the rest of the children were born in Harrison co. Kentucky. Eva died of TB when she was 28 years old. Pete could not take care of all the children so had to adopt all but 1 child out, which was James. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Minnie & John Groves although James did run away numerous times to be with his dad. His dad had some type of handicap which we was told he had "club foot".If anybody has ANY info on this family please contact me as soon as possible.
