I've hit a brick wall. The information I have is that my father, JAMES LEES DICK was born in South Leith on April 17th,1890 at 10:15 a.m.at 114 Bonnington Road, So. Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. He was registered on the May 8th, 1890 in the register book of Births for the District of South Leith in the County of Edinburgh. He was Christened on Monday, June 16th, 1890 at the manse by Rev. G. Gibson. My grandfather was JAMES LEES DICK, a Baker by trade. My grandmother was Flora McNicol. They were married on July 12th 1888 in South Leith. My father was married on November 16th, 1920. He was a bachelor 30 years old, and a ship steward at that time. He lived at 88 Henderson Street Leith, Edinburgh then. He married JANE GREIG, 20 Henderson Gardens, 29 years old and a spinster. She was a Tobacconists Assistant. They were married at 5 Greyfriars Place, Edinburgh by Warrent. My mother was the daughter of JOHN GREIG, Electric Cranesman and JANE McDONALD. The witnesses were Elizabeth McAllister, wife of a Marine Engineer and Margaret Greig a Tobacconists Assistant. I am now trying to find my great grandparents and I have hit this brick wall. If anybody has information regarding this family it would be very much appreciated. Thank You. Jean Maurais.
