Hello Mary, I was surfing messages and came across yours with two nams I couldn't pass up!
In my family tree I have a John Carigan who married a Mary Joyce(no dates) and they had a son Samuel Carigan b 17 Dec 1823.
Also, my grandmother on my father's side was
Marcella Sweeney b 17 Sep 1869. Her husband was
Edward Ralph Wilson Jr(my grandfather)b 1867.
Does any of this fit?
