Wow! This is my first "hit." I've only started working on my genealogy since I got a job as a reference librarian one month ago!! My mother's line was traced by my uncle, now deceased, who was president of the Maryland Genealogy Society. But there's no research that I know of on my father's line--until now!. My information comes from an old family Bible which was handed down to me from my father, who is now deceased. He was an only child, so there's no one I can ask about his family. By the way, my maiden name was Mary Dell Spalding ... the "Dell" was after Freddella, my father's mother. (She spells it withtwo "d's" in her family Bible, but I've seen it with one as well.)
I will be happy to scan the family Bible pages and send them to you. It may take me a week or two since I don't have my own scanner. I also have a lot of old photos of my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Pennifill, and her children. I believe the farmhouse in a lot of my old photos was the
Pennifill home. Where do you live? Perhaps someday we can meet and share what we have. I live in Frostburg, Maryland, but grew up in Takoma Park, near Washington, DC.

: I'm looking for information about the Pennifill/Pennyfield's of Montgomery, MD. They married into the Hill and Case families several times, over the years. There was also a Joseph and James Pennifill located in IL in the 1800's. Any information is appreciated.
