Seeking all information of the Sweeney family which contained Edward Sweeney from Staffordshire, decendants of Christopher Sweeney from Portsmouth or Liverpool, decendants in Liverpool or Southsea of Partick Sweeney, decendants in Southsea of Daniel Sweeney from Portsmouth & Southsea married in Portsmouth R.C.Cathedral & decorated in the First World War by the French.
I am researching along with my cousin Nina. So far our travels have taken us to Dublin,Ballinasloe & the north west coastl in the R.o.I.,Southsea and Stafforshire.
Our search is expanding so if any of our distant cousins are out their researching the branches of their parrticular tree please get in touch. Your privacy is guaranteed esp.distant relatives in Southsea.I was named after one of your family & have paid my respects at the war mamorial with my cousin Nina and my son Thomas. We live in Southampton & my Father is the eldest son of Christopher Sweeney brother of Daniel (amongst others) I have copies of birth & marriage certificates from Southsea,Liverpool, and one from Dublin which is printed on Irish linen. We have family in Ballinasloe so even if you do not want to contact me via the web then I would recommend a trip to the centre of Ireland as it is absolutely beautiful with wonderful people.
Thank you for any help that you can give me to fill in the pieces of the puzzle which is my family tree.
