I am trying to trace the UK family of my great grandfather, James Morrall. He was born between 1834 and 1848, around the Bradford/Huddersfield area, in Yorkshire. On documents he claimed his father's name was William, and his mother Emma. However, this may have been attempt to hide his past. He named his first born Richard and his second born son James, so there is a strong possibility that his father's name was actually Richard. A James Morrall (which previously could have been spelt Morrell) came to Australia on the ship "Star of Egypt" in 1863. I know for certain that my great grandfather married in Melb in 1883, to a Sarah Mobbs (nee Eyles), then travelling to Menindee in western NSW to raise their family. He died in 1899.I anyone can place a James Morrell (or Richard)around the Yorkshire area, then I would welcome the help. Regards Ken
